Hi, I'm Jae. I write a lot of crappy poetry and the occasional story, and sometimes post recordings of clarinet stuff on here (and a lot of bitching about reeds. Bossuet saving Marius’s ass at roll call aka the moment I fell in love with Bossuet
The way Bossuet narrates the story is so lovely and charming and with such good humor I had to put the brick down to laugh for five minutes.

maybe if you read the Brick first you skipped straight to step 3 but I didn’t even notice him when I watched the movie the first TWO times so

If you accidentally misgender someone
Do:
-apologize quickly once
-correct yourself
Don’t:
-apologize profusely
-ramble on about how you’re actually really accepting
-keep apologizing
-tell them about your trans* best friend who you’re so very supportive of
-apologize some more
-talk about how you never do this
-apologize even more
Misgendering someone can be awkward for both parties, it’s typically best to just apologize quickly and move on.

- in real life: ok, I guess I have to explain to my entire class how "feminist" is not an insult
